A former presidential aspirant, Ada Kate Uchegbu has consistently lamented the exclusion of women as presidential flagbearers by Nigeria’s major political parties, arguing that meaningful democracy cannot be achieved while women remain largely shut out of the highest elective office.
She advocates for greater representation of women in leadership and policymaking as a catalyst for national development.
Uchegbu is also billed to speak at the African Women Summit, taking place at the Uk Convergence, Croydon, England- where she will deliver a presentation on “The Future is African and Female: Women in Politics, Policy and the Fight for Representation,” highlighting the importance of inclusive leadership and the role of African women in shaping the continent’s future.
Through her writing, public speaking, and advocacy, Uchegbu continues to champion democratic governance, women’s leadership, and stronger partnerships between Africa and the international community.
